The Psychedelic Renaissance Tarot
While mankind (and kind women) have been seeking altered states of consciousness to better know the Self since the beginning of time, the 20th and 21st centuries have seen a resurgence of Psychedelic discovery, advocacy and awareness in culture at large. Now we are in a bright colorful phase, known as The Psychedelic Renaissance.
I’ve considered myself psychedelic boots on the ground (yes, they’re thigh high and holographic) for decades, for ethical use and medicinal benefit, I’ve canvassed and even volunteered as a subject for a FDA sanctioned research study on MDMA, which is now heralded as a treatment for PTSD. I am inspired by so many thought leaders in this realm. Blessed to connect with many of them, I want to honor their tireless efforts with an artistic and educational tribute.
Visualization is also a huge part of the psychedelic experience. As a professional illustrator, what could be a more fitting tribute than the Psychedelic Renaissance Tarot Deck?
As a person who reads Tarot cards, I’ve always appreciated tarot and oracle cards for the visual flair and deep symbolic metaphysical messaging. I was discussing this with End of the Road Podcast host, Michael Kokal, when he was interviewing me. He challenged me to to create this missing niche deck.
The power of plant medicines and laboratory bred chemicals, as well as their creators and champions are featured in this symbolic tarot, with a big nod to the Western esoteric mysticism found in the traditional Rider Waite Smith deck.
Creating 78 cards is a time consuming venture- but well worth it-
I’ll be starting a kickstarted soon - Look for it!! And don’t worry about Michael- he’s an amazing IP attorney ! We’re good!
